Family Friendly Events Around Anaheim in July 2015

Fortunately, the 2014 calendar is full of family friendly events this July, all in or around Anaheim. Whether you live in Anaheim or are planning to visit and need things to do, consider the following family friendly events for 2015.
1. Independence Day
There are many ways to celebrate the nation's birthday in Orange County. Early risers could consider the Annual Run for Fun Event in La Palma, which is preceded by the Pancake Breakfast in Central Park. Then, guests can move over to Huntington Beach and check out the parade. There are festivals in almost every city including Fullerton, Anaheim, La Habra, Las Alamitos and more. This year, Irvine will host "Music of Neil Diamond," a performance sponsored by the Pacific Symphony. Fireworks start up and down the coast at 9 PM. For a distinctive view, be sure to consider one of the firework cruises in Newport or Dana Point. Many of the festivities will features live music, food, kids' games and so much more.
2. Orange County Fair
Even city folk are likely to enjoy the 2015 Orange County Fair. This massive fair takes place at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa. Starting on July 11, the event lasts almost a month until August 10. The attractions vary widely and include numerous exhibits that are both fun and educational. There is also plenty of food and entertainment at the fair, and guests are invited to try the carnival rides. In addition to all this, the Orange County Fair has hands-on activities to keep visitors enthralled during their visit. Other attractions include farm animals, a petting zoo, contests, games and more. Plus, there are always exciting musical performances with the summer headline concert series.
3. Ocean Festival
California is known for its proximity to the ocean, so celebrate the water during the Ocean Festival. Located on the San Clemente Municipal Pier and Beach, the Ocean Festival harnesses the beach vibe and channels it into a celebration worth attending. The weekend event has numerous options for people of all ages. In particular, many people enjoy attending the Classic Woody Car Show. There is also a special Surf and Ocean Art Show, which features artwork with strong ties to the water. Children are also welcome, and the Ocean Festival has a full array of activities designed just for younger attendees. The entire weekend is anchored by the Annual Beach Party, which features music, food and the sand. The 2015 event takes place on July 18-19.
4. Cypress Community Festival
Cypress may not be one of the more famous cities near Anaheim, but its yearly community gathering is a must. Although the summer is full of events, the Cypress Community Festival is the largest one-day offering in the area. In fact, every year over 20,000 guests visit, making it vibrant and exciting. There is continuous entertainment available along with arts and crafts and a beer garden. Other events include a chili cook off, family games and a business expo. Guests can even participate in a walk or run, and there are carnival rides for the kids. This year's festivities take place on July 25.
5. Pageant of the Masters
Sometimes the oldest traditions offer the best fun. Just consider the Pageant of the Masters. This festival began back in the 1930s, and it is still going strong today. The Pageant of the Masters features a mixture of original artwork from over 160 artists while also hosting living art recreations on the stage. This family friendly event has received worldwide attention and attracts people from all around. This year's Pageant of the Masters runs from July - August in Laguna Beach.
